This page gives guidance on how to reach the conference venues by public transport. More detailed guidance will be provided in due course.

  • From the central station (Köln Hauptbahnhof): at the central station board the city railway line #13 or #18 and transfer at “Neumarkt” to line #1 (to Junkersdorf/ Weiden) and get off at the stop “Junkersdorf”.   • From the Köln-Bonn airport: Board the city railway S13 to “Messe/ Deutz” station, then transfer to city railway line #1 (in direction to Junkersdorf/ Weiden). Get off at the stop “Junkersorf/ Sporthochschule”. Travel time: about 50 minutes. This link helps you to plan your travel from the Köln-Bonn airport.
  • From Düsseldorf airport: take a Regional Express train to Köln Messe-Deutz, , then transfer to city railway line #1 (in direction to Junkersdorf/ Weiden). Get off at the stop “Junkersorf/ Sporthochschule”. Travel time: about 70 minutes.
  • From Frankfürt airport: take a ICE to Köln Messe-Deutz, , then transfer to city railway line #1 (in direction to Junkersdorf/ Weiden). Get off at the stop “Junkersorf/ Sporthochschule”. Travel time: about 100 minutes
  • From Weeze airport (low-cost): take a bus to Weeze railway station, and Regional Express train to Köln Messe-Deutz. Transfer to city railway line #1 (in direction to Junkersdorf/ Weiden). Get off at the stop “Junkersorf/ Sporthochschule”. Travel time: about 3 hours.
  • From Frankfürt Hahn airport (low-cost): diverse routes available, travel time between 3 and 5 hours, see the link for the possibilities.
  • From Brussels airport: take any train to Brussel-Midi station, and transfer to the ICE or Thalys High-speed trains; see above for the itenary from Köln Hauptbahnhof (travel time: about 3 hours). Alternatively, take a train from the airport to Leuven, transfer to the IC to Welkenraedt, change to a local train to Aachen, and change to a Regional Express to Köln Hauptbahnhof (travel time: 4 hours).
  • From Schiphol airport (Amsterdam): take a train to Utrecht, ICE to Köln Hauptbahnhof. See further above. Travel time: about 4 hours.
  • By car: Follow the A1, and exit at Köln-Loevenich. Follow the signs to the RheinEnergie stadium until you reach the direction sign to the German Sport University Cologne (Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln). You can park on campus, or on the parking Jahnwiese (also indicated as PS5) along the Junkersdorfer Strasse.
